When Radio Frequency energy meets collagen the resulting resistance and heat causes the collagen to contract and tighten. This heat also stimulates the production and growth of new collagen fibres. When Radio Frequency energy meets fats again resistance generates heat. In this case this heat causes the fats and fluids to breakdown, allowing them to be removed from the area by the body's lymphatic and vascular system.
Cellulite is a combination of collagen fibres with swollen pockets of fats and fluids trapped within this fibrous mesh structure. When Radio Frequency energy is applied to an area where cellulite is present the resistance and subsequent heat breaks the fats and fluids down, reducing the pressure and size of the swollen pockets, and also tightens the collagen mesh and stimulates new collagen growth.
